Everton's Arouna Kone suffers injury setback

Everton manager Roberto Martinez reveals that Arouna Kone's ankle injury is more serious that first thought.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that Arouna Kone's return to action has been delayed due to a setback in his recovery from injury.

The frontman, who moved to Goodison Park from Wigan Athletic during the summer transfer window, has been on the sidelines with an ankle problem since the start of the month.

"It's more serious than we first thought, so he won't be available for the squad," Martinez said in a press conference.

Everton are due to take on Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday.
