Report: Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas to be dropped for Porto clash

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will reportedly drop Cesc Fabregas from tonight's starting lineup against Porto.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly decided to drop Cesc Fabregas from his starting lineup for tonight's Champions League match against Porto.

The Blues need a point against Mourinho's former club at Stamford Bridge in order to progress into the last 16 of the competition.

According to The Mirror, Fabregas, who signed for Chelsea from Barcelona last year, will not be included in the first XI tonight, with Ramires expected to start.

Fabregas has featured 19 times and scored one goal this season, struggling to recreate the form that helped the Blues win the league in the 2014-15 campaign.
