Team News: Julian Draxler back for Schalke 04

Julian Draxler starts for Schalke 04 for their Champions League encounter against FC Basel.

Midfielder Julian Draxler returns for Schalke as travel to Switzerland to take on FC Basel in the Champions League.

The 20-year-old had been a doubt after missing their 3-3 with Hoffenheim at the weekend, but is included by coach Jens Keller.

However, the Bundesliga outfit are still without Christian Fuchs, Kyriakos Papadopoulos, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, and Chinedu Obasi while Jermaine Jones has been dropped.

For Basel, defender Fabian Schar is passed fit to play despite hurting his knee at the weekend.

Mohamed Salah and Marco Streller – the goalscorers when the Swiss beat Chelsea last month – both feature for Murat Yakin's side.

FC Basel: Sommer; Voser, Schar, Ivanov, Safari; Frei; Salah, Diaz, Xhaka, Stocker; Streller

Schalke: Hildebrand, Uchida, Howedes, Santana, Aogo, Hoger, Neustädter, Farfan, Meyer, Draxler, Boateng
