Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao has revealed that he intends to remain in the Spanish capital for the duration of the current season.
The 26-year-old, whose current contract expires in June 2016, has attracted the attentions of Chelsea and Manchester City in recent months.
Interest in Falcao is expected to increase during the January transfer window, but the player insists that he is going nowhere.
"I recognise the great effort made by [Atletico president] Enrique Cerezo for me to stay at the club," said Falcao.
"I thank God our results have been so positive and that we have done so well this season so far. My expectation is that I will be staying at the club until the end of the season."
Falcao has scored 20 goals in his last 16 appearances for Atletico.
