Lucas Ocampos and Dimitar Berbatov forced a quick double save from Cedric Carrasso in the opening 20 minutes, but the Bordeaux keeper reacted well to clear the threat.

However, the lead lasted just a couple of minutes when the second half got underway, as Diego Contento headed the ball on for Diego Rolan to tap in from close range.
Bordeaux were given the chance take the lead for the first time in the match when Aymen Abdennour tangled with Wahbi Khazri in the penalty area.
Emiliano Sala stepped up to take the spot kick, catching Danijel Subasic out by smashing the ball straight down the middle.
The home side extended their lead just four minutes later when Lamine Sane headed the ball forward from a free kick to pick out Rolan for his second goal of the match.

Bordeaux continued to stretch the Monaco defence, resulting in Khazri bursting towards goal, forcing Subasic to hack him down and concede a penalty.
Khazri elected to take the second spot kick himself, slotting the ball into the bottom left corner for Bordeaux's third goal in the space of 14 minutes.
Berbatov tried to set Radamel Falcao up inside the final 10 minutes as the visitors looked to pull a goal back, but the Colombian was judged to be offside.
The result leaves last season's runners-up with no points from their opening two games this season, while Bordeaux sit at the top of the table.
