Saturday's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup: Victor Osimhen, Willian, Aissa Mandi

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Arsenal on Saturday, July 25.

The buildup to the summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Arsenal eye possible reinforcements.

The Gunners spent more than many expected during the summer - most notably their club-record purchase of Nicolas Pepe - but were more reserved in January as they focused on bolstering their defensive options.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.

Saturday morning's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup:

Arsenal have reportedly lodged a £13.6m bid for Sporting Lisbon winger Joelson Fernandes.

The 17-year-old has broken into the first team at Sporting this season, becoming the youngest player in the club's history on his debut.

A number of top European clubs, including Barcelona and Juventus, are understood to be tracking the attacker, but Portuguese news channel TVI 24 claims that Arsenal have made the first move.

Fernandes's current contract is understood to include a £41m release clause, and Sporting are looking to tie him down to fresh terms which would see that fee rise even more.

However, the youngster is reportedly refusing to agree to a new deal and Arsenal are hopeful that he may be available for a cut-price fee as a result.

Fernandes's agent Kia Joorabchian, who has worked closely with Arsenal technical director Edu in the past, will reportedly travel to Lisbon next week to step up contract talks.

Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho to delay decision over future?

Philippe Coutinho is reportedly keen to delay making a decision on his future until the end of Bayern Munich's European campaign.

Despite the conclusion of the Bundesliga, Bayern are currently preparing to resume Champions League action as they bid to end their seven-year wait for another triumph in the competition.

However, keen to raise funds for their own transfer targets, parent club Barcelona want to part ways with the Brazilian playmaker.

According to reports in Spain, Coutinho has requested that he is not rushed into making any pivotal decisions with regards to his next move.

Arsenal are among a number of Premier League clubs who have been linked with an approach for the former Liverpool man.

Although Barcelona are keen to recoup as much money as possible, any interested teams may look to reach an agreement over a loan deal.
