Rumoured Arsenal target Danilo Pereira is available for £36m, according to a report.

Arsenal have reportedly been told by Porto that it will take a bid of €40m (£36m) to sign midfielder Danilo Pereira.

The Portugal international issued a come-and-get-me plea of sorts earlier this week by admitting that he is a big fan of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.

Pereira, also previously linked with a move to Manchester United, has been at Porto since 2015 and is under contract for another two years.

There had been talk that the 28-year-old has a release clause in the region of £54m, but Portuguese outlet Jornal de Noticias suggests that he is available for nearly £20m less.

Arteta is believed to be seeking a holding midfielder in the mould of Pereira to either replace or provide competition for Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka.
