Arsenal have reportedly identified Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz as a potential summer signing.
Since leaving Manchester City in 2019, Luiz has established himself as a key man at Villa Park, making 27 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League.
However, the form of the Brazilian has led to interest from his former club, who inserted a buy-back clause in the deal which took him to Villa.
According to 90 min, City could face competition from Arsenal with boss Mikel Arteta familiar with the 22-year-old from his time at the Etihad Stadium.
Although City are able to sign Luiz for a set fee, the Gunners may have to pay in excess of that figure in order to convince Villa into a sale.
Much could depend on whether Villa are able to avoid relegation from England's top flight.
