Adelaide United's losing A-League Grand Final run came to an end today as they recorded a 3-1 victory over the Western Sydney Wanderers.
The Reds, who won the regulation campaign, took control of proceedings thanks to two first-half goals and although the Wanderers responded after the restart, the outcome was made safe late on by Pablo Sanchez.

The deadlock was broken in the 22nd minute when Kenya-born midfielder Bruce Kamau cut in from the right flank to meet a bouncing ball with a half-volley, which he was able to divert into the net from close range.
Then, in the 34th minute, Adelaide claimed their second goal of the contest as Spaniard Isaias curled a free kick from 25 yards out into the top corner of Andrew Redmayne's net.
A rising strike from Scott Neville - his first goal for the Wanderers - reduced the arrears in the 58th minute, but it was Sanchez that ensured Adelaide got their hands on the trophy for the first time following previous defeats in 2007 and 2009.
Kearyn Baccus surrendered possession to Adelaide's number seven, who went on to find the net from a tight angle.
