Preview: AC Milan vs. Sassuolo

Sports Mole looks ahead to AC Milan's clash at home to Sassuolo in Serie A.

AC Milan can boost their hopes of European qualification on Tuesday when they entertain Sassuolo in Serie A.

The Rossoneri, who are unbeaten in their last three games in all competitions, currently occupy seventh place in the table.

Another victory tomorrow night at the San Siro could see Filippo Inzaghi's side leapfrog the likes of Napoli and Lazio into third position.

Twelfth-placed Sassuolo travel to Milan having struggled to pick up points in recent weeks thanks to two draws and a defeat in their previous three matches.

However, a surprise win away to Milan would give Eusebio Di Francesco's renewed confidence in their quest for a top-half finish this season.

Marco van Ginkel, Philippe Mexes and Daniele Bonera are all sidelined for the hosts, while Adil Rami could miss out due to a thigh problem. Paolo Cannavaro and Domenico Berardi are expected to be back for Sassuolo after being out of action through illness and a leg injury respectively.
