Manchester United have reportedly enquired about Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a successful campaign in club football and on the international scene during the 2023-24 term, earning plenty of plaudits in the process.
Tah was a mainstay in the Bayer Leverkusen side who ended Bayern Munich's dominance at the summit of the German game, with Xabi Alonso's men remaining unbeaten throughout the Bundesliga term to win the title.
The centre-back has spent the majority of the summer to date at Euro 2024 in Germany, where Die Mannschaft were gunning for their fourth European Championship victory.
Partnering Real Madrid's Antonio Rudiger at the heart of defence, Tah helped Julian Nagelsmann's troops to the quarter-finals where they lost to eventual champions Spain.

Man United 'join' Bayern Munich in Tah race
According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, a new major player has joined the race for the services of Leverkusen's star centre-back this summer.
The report claims that Manchester United have enquired about the availability of the 28-year-old, who has spent the last nine years at the BayArena club.
It was largely expected that Tah would move across Bundesliga battle lines and join Bayern Munich, however there is no agreement over such a deal just yet.
As a result, Erik ten Hag's side are supposedly aiming to swoop in and steal a march on the Bavarians in the hunt for the 29-time international.
Since making his debut for Leverkusen in the summer of 2015, Tah has made 353 competitive appearances for the club, finding the net on 14 occasions.

Man United waiting for the right move?
With the departures of Raphael Varane and Willy Kambwala already confirmed, it is no secret that Man United are looking to bolster their backline.
The Red Devils have been extensively linked with Bayern centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, who has struggled for regular game time at the Allianz Arena recently.
However, with news emerging that United are exploring the possibility of signing Tah, there is a sense that Ten Hag's side are being patient as they aim to recruit the best available option.
Coming off the back of an unbeaten league campaign and a commendable European Championships with an elite international side, Tah is arguably in better shape to hit the ground running at Old Trafford compared to De Ligt.
