Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer bemoans the two errors made by David de Gea and Aaron Wan-Bissaka during Sunday's loss at Watford.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has bemoaned the two mistakes made by David de Gea and Aaron Wan-Bissaka during Sunday's Premier League clash with Watford.

De Gea's error led to the Hornets taking the lead at Vicarage Road as Ismaila Sarr's effort squeezed through the goalkeeper's gloves, before Wan-Bissaka conceded the penalty which saw Troy Deeney register.

Solskjaer has admitted that two goals in the space of four minutes "made it hard" for the 20-time English champions, who are back in action at home to Newcastle United on Boxing Day.

"Today is not about amount of possession. It is about quality, the two goals we conceded, the first one is a freak, a mistake. The second goal is also a bad mistake, so two goals in four minutes made it hard for us," Solskjaer told reporters.

United would have moved to within one point of fourth-placed Chelsea with a win against Watford, but the defeat has left them down in eighth position in the Premier League table.
