Unseeded Bethanie Mattek-Sands has dumped world number seven Ana Ivanovic out of Wimbledon with a straight-sets win to reach the third round.
Mattek-Sands pulled off arguably the shock of day three at SW19 with a 6-3 6-4 win over the Serbian - a former semi-finalist back in 2007 - in just 71 minutes.
The American, who is ranked 158th in the world, looked in cruise control early on with a 3-0 lead, but her Serbian counterpart broke back en route to reducing the score to 3-2.
However, Mattek-Sands pulled out another break in the sixth game to move 4-2 ahead, and it was the cushion needed to earn a first-set lead.
Another break of serve in the third game of the second set gave rise to suggestions that a giant-killing was on the cards as the underdog boasted a 2-1 lead.
Ivanovic struggled to get the break necessary to ignite a comeback bid, and Mattek-Sands held out to eliminate the one-time Grand Slam winner.
