The British number one has declared himself fit for the first major tournament of the 2014 season after recently recovering from back surgery.
The Scotsman has been handed the fourth seeding, while Rafael Nadal takes the top spot, with Novak Djokovic and David Ferrer following.
Former world number one Roger Federer has been seeded sixth for the tournament, while Juan Martin del Potro is at five.
Serena Williams has taken the top seed for the women's side, while Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova, Li Na and Agnieszka Radwanska sit second, third, fourth and fifth respectively.
Petra Kvitova has been seeded sixth.
