Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders admits that he has already thought about the prospect of playing in League One next season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders has admitted that it is unlikely that his side will be able to avoid relegation from the Championship.

The Molineux outfit must beat Brighton & Hove Albion and hope that Barnsley and Peterborough United lose if they are to stand a chance of avoiding relegation, and Saunders has revealed that he doesn't expect his side to avoid the drop.

The 48-year-old told the Birmingham Mail: "We'll get this Brighton game out of the way, then we'll see what league we're in and then turn our attentions to that.

"I have thought about League One – you have to – but my main thoughts have been about getting the team right for this weekend and hope the unexpected happens."

Saunders has won just five games from a possible 19 since his arrival at the club in January.
