Aaron Lennon ruled out of Chelsea match

Aaron Lennon has suffered a hamstring tear and will miss Tottenham's match against Chelsea on Thursday.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed that Aaron Lennon will miss Thursday's London derby against Chelsea.

The winger was substituted during Tottenham's 1-0 win over Sunderland earlier today with a hamstring injury.

Redknapp has now revealed that the 24-year-old has suffered a torn muscle.

"Aaron tore a hamstring today so he definitely won't be back for Thursday," Redknapp told Sky Sports News.

"We lost Gareth Bale yesterday evening in training. He's got a bit of a sprain in his ankle, then we lost Aaron Lennon so we lost a lot of pace out of our team and that was a problem."

Lennon joined Spurs in 2005 from Leeds United.
