Alvaro Morata: 'Impossible to repeat Spain's success'

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata reveals that the current Spain squad will struggle to emulate the success of recent World Cup and European Championship glories.

Juventus and Spain striker Alvaro Morata believes that it is impossible to repeat the success of his side's back-to-back European Championship and World Cup wins.

Morata made the move to Serie A from Real Madrid in the summer and has earned himself a space in the national team after a run of fine form.

The 22-year-old says that the current side will struggle to emulate the success of his team's former glories.

"I have found that the current Spain team are group with lots of enthusiasm but aware it is impossible to repeat what has been achieved," Morata explained, according to Goal.com.

"It is hard to follow one of the best teams in history, that won playing great football. It is very difficult to overcome, but we will try."

Spain come up against Belarus on Saturday evening, where Morata will be looking to start in the absence of Diego Costa.
