Rotherham United successfully overturn Jordan Bowery red card

Rotherham United are successful in their appeal against the red card shown to Jordan Bowery on Saturday.

Jordan Bowery can play for Rotherham United in tonight's Championship match at Reading after the Millers successfully overturned his red card from the weekend.

The 23-year-old striker was shown a straight red card just after the half-hour mark on Saturday after he was adjudged to have kicked out at a Middlesbrough player.

Television replays appeared to show that Bowery had done little wrong and Millers boss Steve Evans labelled the decision "shocking, awful, disgraceful and appalling".

Since Rotherham paid a club-record fee for Bowery in the summer, he has made just three league starts for the Yorkshire club.
