Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly given Real Madrid president Florentino Perez an ultimatum as speculation surrounding the future of head coach Rafael Benitez grows.
The 30-year-old is believed to have a strained relationship with Benitez, who only took charge of the Spanish giants last summer.
According to Fox Sports, after Real Madrid were beaten 4-0 at home by Barcelona in El Clasico on Saturday, Ronaldo told Perez that he would seek a move away from the Bernabeu if Benitez was kept on as manager.
Earlier on Monday, Real Madrid announced that Perez had called a press conference for Monday evening, but it is understood that Benitez will be backed by the powers-that-be rather than relieved of his duties.
Ronaldo has been strongly linked with a return to Manchester United, while Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be in the running for Real Madrid's record goalscorer.
