Report: Cristiano Ronaldo tells Florentino Perez 'Rafael Benitez or me'

Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly tells club president Florentino Perez that he will leave the Bernabeu if Rafael Benitez is kept on as manager.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly given Real Madrid president Florentino Perez an ultimatum as speculation surrounding the future of head coach Rafael Benitez grows.

The 30-year-old is believed to have a strained relationship with Benitez, who only took charge of the Spanish giants last summer.

According to Fox Sports, after Real Madrid were beaten 4-0 at home by Barcelona in El Clasico on Saturday, Ronaldo told Perez that he would seek a move away from the Bernabeu if Benitez was kept on as manager.

Earlier on Monday, Real Madrid announced that Perez had called a press conference for Monday evening, but it is understood that Benitez will be backed by the powers-that-be rather than relieved of his duties.

Ronaldo has been strongly linked with a return to Manchester United, while Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be in the running for Real Madrid's record goalscorer.
