Jurgen Klopp celebrates 'overwhelming' victory

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp reacts to his side's 2-1 victory over Real Madrid.

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his delight at defeating Real Madrid 2-1 in the Champions League this evening.

The Dortmund boss described the landmark victory as "overwhelming" and "sensational" in the wake of the Group D clash.

"It feels overwhelming, it was a sensational evening, you can only imagine something like this in your wildest dreams," BBC Sport quotes Klopp as saying.

A Marcel Schmelzer strike handed the Germans all three points this evening after Cristiano Ronaldo cancelled out Robert Lewandowski's opener.

The result fires Dortmund to the top of Group D with a one-point lead over the second-placed Spaniards.
