Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock expects to make new signings after the recent takeover of the club.

Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock is hopeful of signing new players following the recent takeover of the club.

Tony Fernandes bought a 66% stake in QPR on Thursday and is expected to provide funds for new signings.

Fernandes is a West Ham fan and he has been linked with a move for the Hammers' Scott Parker.

"We will all be working very hard over the next couple of weeks to bring the players into the club," Warnock told BBC Sport.

"With Tony's connections at West Ham, Scott is bound to get a mention, but I don't think we should be talking about players at other clubs."

Warnock has signed Kieron Dyer, Danny Gabbidon, Jay Bothroyd and DJ Campbell so far this summer and is hopeful of adding more quality to his squad before the transfer window closes.

"We won't be throwing money at it stupidly, we'll try and get value for money, but it is an exciting time for us because we are looking at spending money on quality players," Warnock added.

QPR travel to Goodison Park to play Everton in their next Premier League match on Saturday.
