Harry Redknapp: 'Robbie Keane would be ideal signing'

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp reveals that he would like to sign LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane on loan.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that he would like to sign LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane on loan.

The Republic of Ireland international scored a late extra-time winner for the Galaxy on Sunday as they clinched their fifth MLS Cup.

Redknapp worked with the 34-year-old during his time as Tottenham Hotspur boss.

"The MLS market is one that we've got to look at. Robbie's a good shout - he's a good pro," Redknapp told London Evening Standard.

"He would be the ideal type to have around for sure because he would give us something. I haven't spoken to him yet, but he would be an interesting player."

Keane moved to the Galaxy from Spurs in August 2012.
