Newly-promoted Middlesbrough have reportedly entered advanced talks with Anderlecht over attacking midfielder Dennis Praet.
The 22-year-old was recently linked with the likes of Southampton and new Premier League champions Leicester City, who were reportedly willing to pay up to £10m for his services.
However, Voetbal24 claims that Middlesbrough now lead the race for the Belgian international's signature and could complete a deal by Monday.
Praet, who is contracted to Anderlecht until 2017, has played more than 100 league matches for the Belgian outfit and has previously been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Sevilla.
Boro are also expected to confirm the signing of Ajax winger Viktor Fischer in the coming days, with the 21-year-old reportedly having agreed personal terms on a £4m move to the Riverside.
