Anthony Martial 'postpones Manchester United contract talks'

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial reportedly decides to bring a halt to contract negotiations due to uncertainty over the future of manager Jose Mourinho.

Forward Anthony Martial has reportedly decided to postpone contract talks with Manchester United.

Martial has less than a year remaining on his deal at Old Trafford, and although United retain the option of extending it by an extra 12 months, uncertainty remains over the attacker's future.

The 22-year-old has found himself in and out of the starting lineup under Jose Mourinho, and according to The Sun, the France international is against making an immediate decision over where to spend the next stage of his career.

The report claims that Martial will not make a call either way until it becomes clear whether Mourinho will be remaining in the dugout in a long-term capacity.

United have recorded just six points from their opening four matches of the new Premier League campaign, while Martial has only been used for an hour during those fixtures.
