West Ham United have reportedly entered the race to sign Athletic Bilbao defender Unai Nunez.
Earlier this week, it was claimed that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola had identified the 22-year-old as a potential addition to his backline.
However, according to AS, West Ham have emerged as contenders to sign the centre-back, who is open to leaving Bilbao in January.
Nunez, who represented Spain at the Under-21 European Championship earlier this year, has been restricted to just six appearances in La Liga this season.
The report adds that the Hammers are willing to meet the player's release clause, said to be set at €30m (£25.61m).
