Gareth Barry is confident that Carlos Tevez will remain at Manchester City, and hints more players could come before the transfer window closes.

Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry believes that Carlos Tevez will stay at the club and hints that more additions are on their way to Eastlands.

The 30-year-old, who scored in City’s 3-2 win over Bolton at the weekend, is confident that controversial striker Tevez can contribute to the club’s title challenge this season.

“Everyone knows how important he was to our team last season and how much we relied on him at times so we hope he can still play a part this season too,” Barry told the club’s official website.

“Sergio Aguero has made a fantastic start to his career with us as well and we have a really strong squad of players now and there could be more to come.”

Meanwhile, City boss Roberto Mancini believes that the Argentinian frontman will need time before he makes a full return to the North West side.
