Lyon head coach Remi Garde has admitted that he is uncertain whether playmaker Yoann Gourcuff will be fit to play in the club's away match against Bordeaux on Sunday.

Gourcuff has been out for a month with a groin injury and is closing in on full fitness, but Garde insists that he would not risk the player unless he is ready.

"Of course I will use him if he is available, but I am not sure," BT Sport quotes Garde as saying. "He showed at the beginning of the year how essential he can be for the team.

"I have spoken to him and we talked about the uncertainty over his physical condition and the requirements of the team. He wants to play and help the club but I also know he likes to be in full physical condition to play."

The match kicks off at 8pm on Sunday night.
