Report: Liverpool in Denis Cheryshev talks

Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Real Madrid over a £14.2m deal with Russian winger Denis Cheryshev.

Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with Real Madrid in a bid to sign Denis Cheryshev before the transfer window closes.

The Russian international has been linked with a number of clubs this summer, but the La Liga side are thought to be keen to keep him at the Bernabeu.

However, The Metro reports that Brendan Rodgers has demanded the club signs the 24-year-old winger, resulting in the team working on a £14.2m deal.

Cheryshev spent last season on loan with Villarreal.
