Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has confirmed that the Ligue 1 champions are currently in talks with Kylian Mbappe over a new deal at the Parc des Princes.
The 21-year-old recently notched up his 10th top-flight goal of the season in a 3-1 win at Montpellier, with Mbappe leading the way in the Ligue 1 top scorer charts this season.
Mbappe's current deal with Thomas Tuchel's side expires in 2022, although the World Cup-winning Frenchman has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid in the past few months.
However, Leonardo has revealed that contract talks are progressing well, telling Canal +: "We're talking. We want to discuss, and he also wants to discuss.
"Now is also the time to come to a clearer idea of his future. It is going well. We have taken steps forward compared to 10, 15 days ago and we will continue."
Mbappe boasts 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions for PSG this season, and the former Monaco man will be hoping to get off the mark in the Champions League against Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday evening.
