Paulinho: 'Tottenham Hotspur must forget Liverpool defeat'

Paulinho believes that Tottenham Hotspur must forget about the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool earlier in the season ahead of Sunday's game at Anfield.

Paulinho has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur must forget about the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool earlier this season ahead of the reverse fixture between the two sides on Sunday.

The heavy loss in December proved to be the last game of previous head coach Andre Villas-Boas's reign at the club, but Paulinho believes that the current squad should not dwell on that display as Tim Sherwood prepares to take his team to Anfield.

"We have to forget about that game," the Brazilian midfielder told the club's official website. "We have a chance to go there, play well and hopefully come back with a good result. We know it will be difficult, but we have a chance.

"We have seven games to go, we're trying to finish as high as possible and we have to try to win this game."

Spurs are currently sixth in the Premier League.
