Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has admitted that the team is "really disappointed" following their defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
The Reds suffered their second loss of the season on Saturday as Gabriel Agbonlahor's early goal proved to be the difference at Anfield.
Despite being beaten in front of their own fans, Lovren has urged his teammates to remain positive ahead of their return to Champions League action this week.
"Of course, for everyone it hurts, especially for the defence," he is quoted as saying by the club's official website. "We are disappointed. We didn't start the game well and we conceded an easy goal from the corner. Afterwards it was difficult to come back.
"We are really disappointed but we need to keep our heads up now because the next game is in the Champions League. "It's good to be back in the Champions League. We need to keep our heads up and win that game at home to start well in the Champions League."
Liverpool get their European campaign underway on Tuesday when they welcome Ludogorets Razgrad to Anfield.
