Adam Lallana: 'James Milner is the perfect player'

Adam Lallana describes James Milner as the "perfect player" following his free transfer to Liverpool.

Adam Lallana has claimed that Liverpool have signed a "perfect player" by bringing in James Milner on a free transfer.

Milner decided against signing a new deal with Manchester City to make the switch to Anfield, and Lallana is certain that his England teammate will give Liverpool a huge boost after a disappointing campaign.

"James Milner, he's a fantastic player," the midfielder told reporters. "He's played his whole career in different positions.

"He's won so many caps, won titles and trophies with Manchester City and it's great for Liverpool to sign someone like him.

"He's got unbelievable ability and sometimes people don't appreciate that in the way they should. Left foot, right foot, got a goal in his locker and always fit. He's the perfect player."

Milner was also believed to have rejected the chance to join Arsenal before signing with Liverpool.
