Alvaro Negredo completes Besiktas move

Besiktas complete the signing of Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo on a three-year deal from Valencia.

Besiktas have confirmed the signing of striker Alvaro Negredo from Valencia on a three-year deal.

The 31-year-old spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough, but he was unable to prevent them from being relegated from the Premier League despite scoring nine goals in 33 outings.

Negredo has now completed his move to the Turkish champions, who announced the deal in a video which features both Ricardo Quaresma and fellow summer signing Pepe.

Negredo, who had previously been linked with Swansea City, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, scored 18 goals in 74 appearances during his time at Valencia.
