Los Angeles Galaxy defender Tommy Meyer has conceded that it was a "dream" to find the net against Barcelona last night.

The 25-year-old scored deep into stoppage time, although it was only a consolation effort as the European giants held out for a 2-1 victory.

Speaking after the final whistle, Meyer told the club's official website: "It's something you dream about. I'm pretty excited. Mika [Vayrynen] served a great ball and I was luckily there to put my head on it."

The goal was the first of Meyer's professional career.
