Odion Ighalo scored twice to help Granada claim maximum points from their home encounter against Espanyol this evening.
Both of the Nigerian's goals arrived before the break to put his side in a commanding position.
He broke the deadlock in the 29th minute when he turned in a low cross from Franco Jara inside the penalty area.
Just six minutes later Ighalo made it 2-0 to the home side when he converted a pass from David Cortes into the bottom right-hand corner of the net.
Visiting Espanyol provided a greater attacking threat after the restart and went on to reduce Granada's deficit in the 54th minute. Raul Baena was the creator, crossing the ball for Didac who scored from six yards out.
As time ran out Rui Fonte had a good chance to claim a share of the spoils, but he sent his headed effort wide of the target from eight yards out.
