Derby County boss Nigel Clough has lamented his side's lack of quality in their 2-1 defeat to Watford.
Matej Vydra and Joel Ekstrand netted to seal the win for Gianfranco Zola's side despite a late consolation from Rams' striker Jamie Ward.
Clough told reporters: "There was nothing in the game generally between the two teams. They were two passing sides.
"I didn't think there was a great deal, just that little bit of quality and us failing to defend the set play. Very simple things win or lose football matches most of the times, basics."
Following their defeat Derby are now 11th in the Championship, eight points adrift of the playoff places.
