Celtic take Rabiu Ibrahim on trial

Celtic have handed a trial to former PSV Eindhoven midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim.

The 20-year-old is available on a free transfer having recently agreed to cancel his contract with the Dutch club.

Manager Neil Lennon is keen to play down the club's chance of signing the Nigerian, but has admitted that he has been impressed with Ibrahim so far.

"He is on trial," said Lennon. "We have got him in for a few days. We are just going to have a look at him in training this week.

"I know he has had a decent career up until now and he trained on Saturday and looked quite handy but again nothing more than that, just to have a look."

Ibrahim spent his youth career with Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon.
