Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique out for Barcelona

Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique will both miss Barcelona's league clash with Osasuna on Sunday.

Barcelona will be without the services of centre-backs Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique for Sunday's La Liga clash with Osasuna at the Camp Nou.

An ongoing knee problem for Puyol means that the Spaniard has been left out of the squad, while Pique is still struggling with an ankle injury.

As a result, Javier Mascherano is expected to be joined in central defence by Marc Bartra, who has struggled for first-team football in recent weeks.

However, head coach Gerardo Martino has a full complement of attacking players fit and available, with Pedro, Alexis Sanchez and Neymar all vying to join Lionel Messi in the lineup.
