Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill is reportedly interested in signing Espanyol striker Alvaro Vazquez.
O'Neill is looking to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season following the expiration of Nicklas Bendtner's loan spell on Wearside.
Vazquez is also wanted by Sevilla and Atletico Madrid but the Black Cats are leading the race for his signature, according to The Mirror.
The 21-year-old Spaniard, who has 12 months remaining on his contract with the Barcelona outfit, scored five La Liga goals last season.
