American businessman Randy Lerner has reportedly decided to drop his asking price for Aston Villa from £200m to £150m.
The 52-year-old announced at the end of last season that he will be selling the Premier League club, eight years after completing his takeover.
Reports have claimed that Lerner had been hoping to seal a £200m sale with bidders from the United States, but discussions are said to have stalled.
According to The Mirror, Lerner has spoken to a number of investors from the Middle East over the last few days regarding the sale of the club.
Meanwhile, reports have claimed that ex-Manchester United captain Roy Keane could be appointed as assistant to manager Paul Lambert at Villa Park.
