Roma coach Rudi Garcia is reportedly prepared to increase his bid for Arsenal forward Gervinho.
The Ivory Coast international played under Garcia in Lille's 2011 championship-winning side, and the French coach wants a reunion this season at the Stadio Olimpico.
Arsenal turned down an offer of around £6.2m from the Giallorossi last week, with their value of the forward close to the £7m mark.
Roma are now ready to match that fee to force a move through when they return from a pre-season tour of the United States this week, according to the Daily Star.
The Italian giants are also reported to have told Arsenal that they are willing to include Pablo Osvaldo in a part-exchange offer, but the Gunners are only interested in a cash deal at the right price.
Gervinho scored seven times for the Gunners last season in all competitions, taking his Arsenal tally to 11 goals in 63 appearances.
