Mexico and Porto midfielder Hector Herrera has emerged as a summer transfer target for Arsenal boss Unai Emery, according to a report.
The 28-year-old has stood out with his displays for El Tri at the World Cup, earning him links with Roma and European champions Real Madrid.
Despite the rumoured interest from elsewhere, and the imminent arrival of Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria, Correio da Manha reports that Arsenal may step forward with an offer for the 69-cap international.
Herrera has spent the past five years at Porto, but he has just 12 months left to run on his current deal and may be offloaded before the transfer window closes.
The report indicates that Arsenal will have to pay £15m to land the former Pachuca ace, who can play in a defensive or attacking midfield role.
