Napoli favourites to sign Arsenal target James Rodriguez?

Napoli are reportedly leading the race to complete the signature of Arsenal target James Rodriguez from Real Madrid next summer.

Napoli are reportedly in pole position in the race to complete the signature of Arsenal target James Rodriguez from Real Madrid next summer.

Rodriguez is likely to leave the Bernabeu after failing to impress manager Zinedine Zidane, scoring just once in La Liga this term.

Reports have claimed that the Gunners are keen on completing a deal for the Colombia international, with the club even exploring the possibility of signing him in January.

According to reports from Spain, however, Napoli are currently leading the race to complete Rodriguez's signature.

The attacking midfielder has a good relationship with Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti, whom he worked alongside at Madrid and Bayern Munich.

It has also been suggested that Los Blancos would be willing to sell Rodriguez to Arsenal if they received Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in return.
