Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes praises match-winner David Goodwillie

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes heaps praise on David Goodwillie following the striker's match-winning performance against Dundee.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has heaped praise on David Goodwillie after the striker netted the winning goal in his side's 3-2 victory over Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.

The former Blackburn Rovers man headed the decisive goal in the 64th minute with the scoreline at 2-2, and his coach believes that he was the difference between the two teams.

"A bit of quality won us the match. It was a top-drawer finish [by Goodwillie], the header into the top corner," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"Previously [before he moved to Blackburn] he was a bit untidy with the ball into feet. He is now a more complete player.

"He has that knack to score goals and that cockiness in the final third. Our boys love him, the support love him and the staff love him."

The result leaves Aberdeen in fifth place in the league.
