Real Madrid's youth team secure the Copa del Rey crown with a 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.

Real Madrid's youth team have won the Copa del Rey with a 4-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.

Melero, Raul de Thomas and a brace from Cristian Benavente secured the youth crown for the capital outfit for the first time since 1993 when Rafael Benitez was in charge of the team.

The senior side also contested the final of the Copa del Rey against Atletico Madrid last season, but Jose Mourinho's men were beaten by their city rivals.

Madrid finished second in La Liga last season and exited the Champions League in the semi-finals to Borussia Dortmund.
