Scottish giants Rangers have been drawn against Portuguese outfit Braga in the Europa League quarter-finals.

Scottish giants Rangers have been drawn against Braga in the Europa League quarter-finals.

For the first time since 2008, the Gers are competing in the last eight of Europe's second-most prestigious club competition, after beating Red Star Belgrade 4-2 on aggregate.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side will now lock horns over two legs against Portuguese outfit Braga, who eliminated Sheriff Tiraspol on penalties in the playoff round before beating Monaco 3-1 on aggregate in the last 16.

Rangers will travel to the Estadio Municipal de Braga for the first leg on April 7 before hosting the second leg at Ibrox on April 14.

Should the Gers progress to the semi-finals, either RB Leipzig or Atalanta BC will await them in the last four, with the winners of Rangers against Braga to play the first leg away from home.

Elsewhere in the quarter-final draw, French oufit Lyon – who faced Rangers twice in the group stage – have been drawn against West Ham United, while Catalan giants Barcelona will face Eintracht Frankfurt.
