Beaten in both the Derby della Madonnina and their Champions League opener over the past few days, the Nerazzurri now welcome an improving away side to Milan.

Remarkably, only rock-bottom Monza have conceded more goals than Inter in the second half of Serie A matches this season, so even if they can break down obdurate opponents, they may not have it their own way until the final whistle. Just days after tasting sweet success in the Milan Derby, the Rossoneri were held to a draw in their first European encounter of the season, and they now meet a side struggling at the wrong end of the Serie A standings.

Although recovering quickly from their midweek exertions may be a challenge for Milan, they are fortunate their opponents are drained of confidence and lack a goalscoring threat. Pioli can therefore make use of his deepening squad to continue his side's unbeaten start.
