New Zealand have convincingly defeated Australia in the second round of the inaugural Rugby Championship.
The competition, formerly known as the Tri-Nations, now includes Argentina alongside fellow Southern Hemisphere sides South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
In this morning's Auckland curtain-raiser the world champions dominated from start to finish, with the boot of Dan Carter the main scoring outlet.
The number 10 kicked three first-half penalties to give the All Blacks a nine-point lead at the break before Israel Dagg went over for the only try of the match five minutes into the second period.
Carter's left foot added further points in the remaining minutes as the Wallabies offered little at the other end of the field.
South Africa take on Argentina in Mendoza in the fourth match of the tournament at 8.10pm this evening.
The next round of fixtures takes place in two weeks' time on September 8, with New Zealand facing Argentina in Wellington, while Australia welcome South Africa to Perth.
