Premier League trio Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton are reportedly tracking the progress of Sunderland forward Josh Maja.
The 19-year-old has made a blistering start to the new League One season, scoring nine goals in just 12 league games for the promotion-hunting Black Cats.
Maja's contract at the Stadium of Light is due to expire at the end of the current campaign, meaning that he could be available for only a nominal compensation fee should no extension be agreed.
The youngster has already been on the books at Man City earlier in his career, but he failed to make the grade and has also played for Crystal Palace and Fulham's youth teams during his fledgling career.
City are now thought to be back in the market for their former player, but could face competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham and Southampton.
