Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen targets top-three finish

Christian Eriksen says that Tottenham Hotspur want to finish in the top three of the Premier League this season.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has said that he is determined to lead his new club back to Champions League football.

The 21-year-old Denmark international joined the Premier League outfit from Dutch champions Ajax on Friday.

"I have played Champions League for the past four years at Ajax and I know what it is about," he told Spurs TV.

"It's the best place to be and it's the most fund part to play football, so of course everyone wants that and me too. I think [my target is] what everyone wants to come: one of the top three or maybe on the top.

"I think every game's going to be like a Champions League game for me. That's what I want and that's why I moved, because I want every game to be exciting and I am really excited."

Tottenham are currently sixth in the league table with six points from three matches.
